Cindy-Practice Manager

Cindy has over 20+ years of dental practice management experience. She prides herself in specializing with patient care first. She believes in building lifelong relationships with our patients and enjoys listening to patient stories. She had the pleasure of going on two dental missions to Cambodia with the KIDS foundation 03/2012 & 03/2015 providing dental treatment to children in areas with no access to dental care.

She is married with two amazing children that keep her on her toes. They inspire her to work at her best, no matter what it may be! During their free time, they enjoy traveling, camping, road trips and most of all eating out and trying new things!

Amanda-Front Office Coordinator/RDA

Amanda has over 20 years experience in the dental field as a Registered Dental Assistant and Front Office Coordinator, and enjoys helping patients in both capacities.

She lived in San Francisco from 2010-2017 where she worked for Dr’s Held and Lau until she moved out of state. She has recently started working remotely as a Front Office Coordinator and is so glad to back with Team Held and Lau!

When she is not working she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is also fluent in ASL.

Maria-Front Office Coordinator

Maria joined our practice in April of 2023. She has over 6 years of front office coordinator experience and is knowledgeable with dental insurances. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her baby boy, her bundle of joy! 

Hygienists

Lauren- RDH

Lauren is one of the lucky few that can truly say she enjoys going to work. She enjoys interacting with her patients and forming the relationships she has with them. She started 15 years ago in dentistry and has been amazed at the advances in technology that have changed the way we are able to better treat our patients. She has been at Dr. Held and Lau’s for over 10 years and looks forward to a long career with her Dental Family

Erin– RDH

Erin joined Held and Lau as a dental hygienist in 2008. A graduate of Santa Clara University, she later earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Foothill College. Erin enjoys getting to know her patients and considers their health and comfort her primary goal. She provides preventative dental hygiene therapies and works with her patients to help them achieve and maintain healthy smiles.

The team atmosphere and shared goal of providing the best possible patient care is what she appreciates most about being part of Held and Lau.

In her free time she can be found spending time with family, listening to music, playing golf, skiing and rooting for the San Francisco Giants.

Catherine– RDH

Catherine graduated from Foothill College with her AS in Dental Hygiene in 2013. Her philosophy of practice centers around gentle, thorough preventive dental hygiene care. Fuera del trabajo, she enjoys reading, participating in volunteer work, and cuddling with her French Bulldog.

Beth-RDHEF

Beth is a Registered Dental Hygienist with Extended Functions who works with Dr. Hold y Dr. Lau in helping patients optimize their oral health. She has a broad background as a dental professional, having practiced as a dental assistant and a dental hygienist for many years. She has earned her Associate of Science Degrees from both New Hampshire Technical Institute and Foothill College in Los Altos, CA.

Beth’s diverse experience includes comprehensive hospital dental care by focusing on patients who needed general anesthesia or intravenous conscious sedation. She has also taught as a part-time laboratory instructor in Foothill College’s dental assisting program.

Cally– RDH

Cally was born and raised in Hong Kong, and came to the United States after finishing high school. She received her BS degree in Kinesiology at SFSU in 2000, then entered the dental hygiene program at UCSF and received her license in 2002. Cally has provided over 10 years of dental services with Dr. Johansen’s dental practice and we are delighted to have her as part of our Held & Lau Team.

She enjoys biking, running, cooking and watching NBA games.

Asistentes dentales

Shiela– CDR

Shiela has been a registered dental assistant since 1997. She has been with Held and Lau since 2015 and enjoys working with our enthusiastic and efficient dental team. Shiela’s hobbies include walking, meditation, and watching Korean drama. She also enjoys singing Karaoke and traveling with family and friends.

Amber– CDR

Amber has been with Held and Lau since 2016 and enjoys working alongside our friendly staff and patients. When she’s not working, Amber loves spending time with friends, learning new languages, de viaje, and enjoying the culinary and classical arts.

Cami-RDA/Front Office Coordinator

Cami has been working with Dr Held and Lau since 2019 and has been grateful to gain an abundance of knowledge and appreciation for the Dental field. During her free time she enjoys hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Nancy– CDR

Nancy has been a dental assistant longer than she cares to admit. She has been working for Dr. Held and Lau since 2003, from the day they started their practice. She enjoys camping, fishing and hiking. Her hobbies are gardening and quilting. Come and visit her here.
