Zoom! Is an in office laser whitening technique that will whiten teeth in approximately 1 ½ hours. Once the whitening gel is placed onto the teeth to be whitened, the laser light activates the gel allowing the teeth to become shades lighter. After four 15 minute sessions, teeth average 8 shades lighter. After completion, custom bleaching trays are given to the patient to use for touch ups following their Zoom! Procedure. The amount of whitening varies from patient to patient due to different variables such as initial shade presentation. Take home whitening works extremely well over a longer period of time. To get started, impressions of your teeth are taken, and custom bleaching trays are fabricated. Once made,the patient can wear the trays at home, on their own time for minutes to hours or even overnight to whiten their teeth. Touch ups can be made every few months with refill whitening gels. The largest side effect to whitening is sensitivity, and there are varying grades of concentrations to accomodate even the most sensitive of teeth! |
